*Wednesday, September 5 - Evacuation Drill - This year Bauer students will not walk to Georgetown Ice Arena (new name is Griff’s Georgetown) for the Evacuation Drill but will stay right at Bauer! If we should ever have a need to evacuate, we will walk to the arena.
*Tuesday, September 11 - Jet’s Pizza Night! Help Raise Money for Bauer Elementary on Tuesday, September 11, through the Jet’s Pizza Night FUNdraiser Program!
Join up with Jet’s Pizza located at 36th & Baldwin in Hudsonville to raise money for our school. Enjoy a pizza with dough that is made fresh daily and topped with only the finest and highest quality ingredients available… and at the same time help your school. For every order, Jet’s Pizza will donate 12% of that sale back to Bauer! As an added bonus, the classroom that raises the most money will win a FREE pizza party!

*Thursday, September 20 - The Ottawa Health Department will be at Bauer on Thursday, September 20, to administer Hearing Tests for grades K, 2nd, 4th. Please inform the office if your child has a brain shunt.

10:00-10:45 am - 1st/4th will walk

*Friday, September 28 - HHS Homecoming Pep Assembly - Wear Maize and Blue and Popcorn Day!
*Friday, October 5 - The Ottawa Health Department will be at Bauer on Friday, October 5 to administer Vision Tests for grades 1st, 3rd, 5th.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
SEVERE PEANUTS/ALL TREE NUTS/EGG ALLERGIES
We have students that are allergic to peanuts, tree nuts, cashews, eggs, etc. The classroom teacher will make you aware of any food restrictions in the classroom. If you are planning on bringing a treat in for your child’s class, we ask that you check with your classroom teacher for any student allergies. Please inform the office if you feel that your child should join the table for students with food allergies at lunch time. ALL SUPPORT IS APPRECIATED IN KEEPING OUR STUDENTS SAFE AT BAUER.
BPC WALK-A-THON FALL FUNDRAISER
Our Walk-A-Thon is one of the major fundraisers for Bauer Elementary. Money earned from this has been used to purchase new playground equipment and help buy items for the classrooms.
The Walk-a-thon will take place at Bauer on Friday, September 21. Your kids will have a lot of fun, earn prizes, and contribute to our excellent school. Please remind your child to dress appropriately for that day. A big THANKS for your support!

BUSING REMINDER
Just a reminder that students are not allowed to change buses unless it is an emergency situation. The Transportation Office (669-7757) must approve the change.
