Tips for Cyberbullying

Access to the Internet is very easy for everyone. While it provides many great opportunities for our children, it also exposes them to aspects of life that we want to protect them from.  One of those negatives is that it provides a path for others to bully children on the web. This is called cyberbullying.

I am attaching a link to an article called Protecting Kids from Cyberbullying. The article defines cyberbullying, why we should care about it, some facts to know, and some common sense tips. One of the facts that they state on this site is "1 in 3 kids say that they have been cyberbullied." This is an alarming statistic. So to help protect our kids, please use this resource, or others like it,  for you and your child to look at and discuss together.  -Mrs. Gortsema

Temperatures for Outside Recess

If the windchill is zero or below, students will not have outside recess.  The office monitors the temperature and windchill very closely throughout the day.  We do ask that you send your child with appropriate clothing for outside recess since the weather is at times unpredictable!
