SQUARE 1 ART
Our students have once again completed fabulous artwork that will be available for purchase on
a variety of items through the Square 1 Art fundraiser.  Students from pre-kindergarten through fifth
grade will receive order packets the beginning of November.  A few of the items available include
keychains, cookie dishes, pillowcases, and ceramic tiles; all with your child's very own artwork on
them! A variety of cases for your favorite gadgets including the iPod Touch, iPad and iPad mini, and
even iPhone cases are also available!  Ordered items will arrive by the holidays and make perfect
gifts.  Lastly, the class with the most orders will have the opportunity to complete an extra clay project!  Visit square1art.com for more details, or feel free to email with questions.
Thank you for supporting our art program!

P.E. CARES FOOD DRIVE
BPC SCRIP PROGRAM
BPC is introducing a new way for you to shop and help Bauer Elementary at the same time! Many of you may be familiar with the Scrip program and we thought it was time to bring it to Bauer. Through Scrip you can purchase gift cards at full value (no extra fees) and the retailers donate 2-16% back to the school. There are over 750 retailers to choose from including Meijer, Family Fare, Target, Amazon and so many more! Watch for a flyer coming home with your child today with more details.
Gift card orders may be placed with paper order forms or online (Bauer online enrollment code - 817E45BA6L851). You can also reload gift cards or purchase e-cards from your computer or mobile device. As the holiday season approaches, keep in mind that gift cards make great gifts for teachers, coaches, babysitters, etc!
Here’s a few scenarios to illustrate the tremendous impact we can have through our regular purchases.
1.  Your family spends $100/week on groceries. Meijer offers 3% back through Scrip. By paying with Scrip gift cards, your family can earn $156 annually just by purchasing groceries!
2.  You typically spend $60/week in gas. You prefer to fill up at Speedway, which offers 4% through Scrip. By using a Scrip gift card, you can contribute another $125.
3.  You decide to grab some lunch with a friend. After checking what restaurants are nearby, you opt for Chipotle. A quick review of MyScripWallet.com shows Chipotle offers 10% so you purchase an e-card on your phone. Your delicious lunch has just raised funds for Bauer!
The first round of orders are due back on Wednesday, November 7th and the cards will be available to pick up on November 16th from 3:15-4:00pm (or you can have us send home with your child).  If you have questions, you can contact the Scrip Coordinator, Vanessa at bauerscrip@gmail.com.

Giving Tree

Bauer Elementary is offering to families who might benefit from assistance this holiday season, our second annual Giving Tree.  Although it is a small gesture, we would like to offer this confidential opportunity.  If you would like to have a few gifts purchased for your child/children, please contact Mrs. Opple by Tuesday, November 20, with gift suggestions and sizes where appropriate.

We will put a tag with the gift idea (no names) on our Giving Tree located in the office.  Another family will take the tag, purchase a gift, and return it to our office.  Mrs. Opple will call and let receiving families know we have the gifts in the office for pick-up.  (More information will be sent out later regarding the details on purchasing the gifts.)

DISNEY THE LITTLE MERMAID JR.
Baldwin Street Middle School's production of Disney The Little Mermaid Jr. will be at the Hudsonville Fine Arts Auditorium on November 16, 17, and 18.  For ticket information go to www.hudsonvillepublicschools.org/finearts.
