Bookmark Contest Winners!

There were so many amazing bookmarks that students designed this week! Picking a winner was not easy!  A winner was selected from each grade level and the prize was a new book. Congratulations to all our students for participating. Here are the winners:

Book Swap

HUDSONVILLE PUBLIC SCHOOLS STUDENT ART SHOW

Please bring your young artists to the Hudsonville Public Schools K-12 Student Art Show at Hudsonville City Hall! The show will run from Monday, April 20th through Tuesday, April 28th. City Hall will be open daily from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. School receptions will take place in the evenings from 5:30 to 7:30 pm. The featured artist reception for Bauer is on MONDAY, APRIL 20, from 5:30 to 7:30 pm. Everyone is invited to attend the reception and congratulate our young artists! The Hudsonville City Hall is located at 3275 Central Blvd. Hudsonville, MI 49426. On a side note, you can check out the Hudsonville Art Program website here: http://hudsonvilleartprogram.blogspot.com/

Guess how many gold fish are in a dish winners!

The total fish crackers in our dish was 1,573.  We have two winners-One from upper elementary and one from lower elementary!  Jacob Fitch, in Mrs. Kopka's 4th grade class, guessed 1,562 and Everett Duwe, in Mrs. Machiela's Pre-K class, guessed 1,110.  They each won a Dr. Suess book signed by the staff at Bauer.  Good job to all our students!

M-Step: The New Spring State Test

M-Step, the Spring State Test for 3rd-5th Grades

The State test this spring is going to be very different from years past. There are three components to the test: an Online Test, a Classroom Activity, and a Performance Activity. Due to the complexity of the test, and the Classroom Activity that students must participate in, it is very important to avoid appointments or vacations on testing days. The test dates for each of the grade levels are listed below and also on the calendar on the Blog. Thank you for your help. Please call or stop by the office if you have any questions or concerns.

5th Grade - April 14, 15, 17, 21, 23, 24.

4th Grade - April 28, 29, May 1, 5, 7, 8.

3rd Grade - May 19, 20, 22, 26. 28
