SEPTEMBER 23 - Jet Lag Monday/wear comfy clothes
SEPTEMBER 24 - Tropical Tuesday/wear tropical attire and Culver's Night.  Bauer Staff will be at Culver's ready to serve you...Please stop by and have dinner or dessert!  Thank you Culver's for supporting Bauer Elementary!  Dr. VanderJagt will be at Bauer from 6:30-7:30 pm to answer questions regarding the Bond Proposal.
SEPTEMBER 25 - Wild Colors Wednesday/wear wild colors
SEPTEMBER 26 - Tourist Thursday/wear travel attire
SEPTEMBER 27 - Fly Home Friday/wear Eagle Pride, HHS Pep Assembly at Bauer, and WALK-A-THON (make sure to wear appropriate shoes for walking)!

PK/K & 3rd - 8:45 - 9:45 am 
1st & 4th - 9:45 - 10:45 am
2nd & 5th - 10:45 - 11:45 am
OCTOBER 1 - Fire Safety for PK/K and 4th Grade.  Friendly reminder to check your smoke detectors and make sure you have a fire exit plan.

An update from BPC:

WALK-A-Thon is ONE WEEK AWAY:

• We have 52% of students registered online and have already raised $13,837.00 (92.25% of our goal). WE CAN DO THIS BAUER!!! 
• Blowing out our $15,000 goal means more money benefitting our kids this academic year and allows the BPC to consider teacher’s special grant requests to fund learning enrichment programs for classrooms.
• We have received donations from supporters in 113 cities and 22 states.
• We have 8 Classrooms that have already met their goal, 6 that are just $300 (or less) from their goal, 17 superstars (students that have raised $200) and 57 students students eligible to throw whip cream at Principal Meersma at the assembly ($100 raised).
• Corporate sponsors have donated at record levels. We have some really cool prizes for the top 10 fundraisers, 3 top classrooms, and great raffle prizes.  Stop by the bulletin board in school to take a peek!

HUDSONVILLE TURKEY TROT 2019

Go to the link above.  Move to the lower part of the page and click on ‘Turkey Trot’.

• Race location:  Eagle Stadium on the Baldwin MS Campus.

• Race Date:  October 29, 2019
• Race Time:  Races begin at 5:00 PM.  Gates open at 4:30 PM.

• Race Information: The Turkey Trot is designed for elementary school children but we will have one additional race for grades 6-12.

• Entry Fee:  $6.00 Per Person
• Prizes: Turkeys, Apple Cider and Pumpkins.
• Individual Race Groups: PK-2nd Less than ¼ mile.  Grades 3-5 Less than a mile.  Grades 6-12 less than a mile. If your child needs special accommodations, please let your PE Teacher know.

• Entry Deadline:  Monday, October 9, 2019
• Late Registration:  On race day, late registration and additional shirts will be available at the late registration table near the stadium entrance. 

Severe Weather:  In the case of severe weather and cancellation, the Turkey Trot will not be rescheduled.

Feeding America West Michigan Mobile Food Distribution

Hager Park Church

Saturday, October 12, 2019
10:00 am to Noon
Hager Park Church is partnering with Feeding America West Michigan to provide a Mobile Food
Distribution. The food distribution will take place at Hager Park Church’s parking lot, located at 2635 Bauer Road in Jenison. Sign-in is required, although the food is FREE to anyone that needs it. There will be a large assortment of food, consisting of fresh seasonal produce and other high-quality grocery items.
