Last week we had our first mother-son bowling night and what fun! The event was hosted at Hudsonville Lanes and they took very good care of us. We ate some very tasty hot dogs, doughnuts were donated by Sprinkles, gifts were raffled off, and friends enjoyed bowling together. It was especially fun when the lights went down and the music played. We saw many students "bust a move" and some moms too! I even participated a bit in the Cha-Cha Slide.
A special thanks goes to Lisa Somero for organizing this whole event and to Manny Dieppa for taking mother-son pictures for families. Also, thank you to Karen Opple for helping me to check in families, pass out doughnuts, and help with the raffle. Karen and I even put the bowling shoes away at the end of the night and washed our hands thoroughly afterwards. :)
It was a night of fun for all who came!
